Artist Spotlight - October

We haven't done one since May, so I think it's long overdue:

Aubrey O'Day -  you probably know her as being the first girl picked for the girl group, Danity Kane, but she has been attempting to stay in the spotlight ever since the group disbanded in 2009. Well, I have good news for you if you were ever a fan....she is making a comeback! She has released two solo singles in the past year (not including covers or remixes), "Automatic" and "Wrecking Ball", and I think it has just proven what I knew from the beginning - This unstoppable woman is here to stay!

You can contact Aubs on Twitter @AubreyODay, and you can check out her newest music video here.

I have done a lot of "The Voice" artists this year, and I think it's time to change it up a bit:

Jillian Jensen - for those of you that don't watch the X-Factor, she is a contestant on season 2 that was bullied in school, and she put all her emotion and pain into her dynamite audition (Jessie J's Who You Are). She was so good that she touched everyone on the judge's panel, and even got a hug from Demi Lovato!

If you want to get to know her, you can find her on Twitter @ItsJillJensen, and you can watch her audition here.

Jessica Espinoza - another X-Factor contestant this season, and I honestly think she could win this thing! She is a 22 year old from Texas and she did a unbelievably great rendition of Pink's "Nobody Knows". I am sure she will like the fame that the show brings her, but she actually wants the prize money to help out her family (they are very poor, and live in a bad area). I admire this girl more than almost anyone who has been on these kind of shows. Good luck, Jessica and with these two contestants, we are in for a nail biting, edge of our seats, kind of season!

Jessica can be reached on her Twitter account (@JessicaMarieTX), and her audition can be found here.

We haven't heard from her in awhile, but our fave former member of Danity Kane is back....with a vengeance!

Christina Aguilera - World Hunger PSA

She recently won an award for her incredible career and work in philanthropy at the Alma Awards.

Speidi Faked Something? No Way! :P

I am sure you know by now that they faked wanting a divorce just for publicity, but it has now been revealed that they also faked all that fighting on "The Hills" (and just being shitheads in general) for more airtime! I can only imagine why this is all coming out now, probably for the same two reasons as before. I never liked them and never actually thought anything they said or did was "the real deal". I strictly watched the show because of Audrina. According to the Pratts, they are now "living a normal life and no longer have celebrity money". We will see how long that lasts - I am sure those fame whores are just working on their next scheme.

To quote Shooter McGavin (Happy Gilmore): "I eat pieces of shit like you for breakfast."

Cee Lo and XTina Are Taking A Hiatus From "The Voice"

NBC officially announced yesterday that two of its judges from the hit show will not be in their red chairs next season. With every bit of bad news comes some good though; Usher and Shakira will be their substitute judges for one season! I gave up on watching "The Voice" last season (when Lindsey didn't go as far as she should've, and Raelynn was chosen over people like Jordis), but I will always support Christina Aguilera, and the show's dynamic won't be the same next season. Both superstars swear they will be back; Christina is leaving to tour, and Cee Lo is going to be working on a new television show as executive producer. I personally don't think Cee Lo is a good choice for the show anyway, so I am excited to see what Usher brings to the table!

The Lacheys Welcome Their Son Into The World!

Well, the newest heart-breaker of the world was finally born on September 12th, and I can't wait to see pictures (I mean, look at his genes)! Nick and Vanessa released the following statement earlier this evening:

“We are incredibly proud to announce the birth of our beautiful baby boy, Camden John Lachey. Born today at 6:54 p.m., he came into this world at 8 lbs., 9 oz. and 21 inches. Love has truly been redefined for both of us.”

Zac Efron: My NEW Favorite Guy!

So Zac Efron recently did his first interview for "The Advocate" (the gay magazine), and he is now my hero!

The actor (who made this year's "Most Handsome Men" list) addressed gay rumors that have followed him for years:

“I don’t like to live in fear about things like rumors and backlash to begin with — that’s the way I was raised — but I just can’t see what’s so wrong about being gay.”

As far as gay marriage goes, he had this to say:

”It’s an issue that affects so many people in my life — a lot of my close friends and some of the most influential people around me. I just want them all to be happy,” he says. “It would make me so happy to see them able to live their lives and do what they want to do.”

He also said he is flattered to be loved by the gay community, and feels incredibly grateful and honored.

If you want to read the full interview, go here!

What do you guys think? Do you have a new found respect for the man, or do you dislike him even more now? Let me know!
